Summary: I'll confess I have no clue how this one works but the concept is cool. Essentially, Disney Imagineers have come up with a way to transmit sound from person to person by simply touching their ear. I am shaky on the practical applications here but it sounds interesting nonetheless.

Wishy-washy Higgs
Summary: The inconsistencies and weird things in the data that lead scientists to announce the discovery of a new particle back in July, curiously still remain. It seems to be a difference in measurement that makes the difference.
There have also been hints of other weird science occurring that frankly does not make much sense to me, but something about particles flattening and gaining gluons as they reach the speed of light, possibly being observed.
Either way, next week the LHC will shift into a new phase before being shut down for upgrading at the beginning of 2013. Not to worry though, they still have tons of data to analyze.

Antimatter belt around Earth discovered by Pamela craft
Summary:
Scientists have discovered a region around Earth that contains the most abundant source of pbars near Earth.
Implications:
This means there is a natural source of antimatter near enough to Earth to allow for cheaper study of antimatter and possibly lead to antimatter fueled spacecraft in the near future. Which would in turn lead to being able to explore further out and find few mysteries.
